Pastor Kanyari Reflects on Pain of Starting New Year without Ex-Wife Betty Bayo

Pastor Victor Kanyari is still mourning the untimely passing of his ex-wife, gospel singer Betty Bayo. Pastor Kanyari explained how Betty Bayo’s passing pained him. Betty passed away in November while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital, shortly after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. The Salvation Healing Ministries lead preacher shares two children, Sky Victor and Danivictor, with the late gospel singer. Despite their separation, the two maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship, often communicating about how they would raise their children, as revealed in leaked WhatsApp chats. How has Kanyari been coping with Betty’s passing? Although separated, Kanyari openly expressed his grief after her passing, being spotted in public in tears and issuing multiple statements about how much she meant to him. As he welcomed the New Year, Kanyari took to social media to reflect on the tragic loss of the mother of his children, sharing how sudden her passing felt and how he is slowly coming to terms with it. In his words: “If you could have told me that on a day like this, Betty would not be with us, I would never have believed you. But the fact is that she is not here now.”
