Prankster Vindee Claims He Was Arrested for Sheltering Gloria Ntazola’s Brother

Kenyan content creator and prankster Vindee Official was arrested in Juja after reportedly hosting Gloria Ntazola’s brother, Martin, at his residence.

In a video recorded from inside a police cell and shared on his Instagram page, Vindee explained the events leading to his arrest while surrounded by colleagues who had accompanied him for a content shoot.

Vindee said he had been taken into custody together with friends who were at his house for filming.

According to him, the issue stemmed from his decision to assist Martin, whom he described as someone he had sheltered out of goodwill.

The video also captured the hand of a police officer attempting to take away the phone as he recorded the message.

Vindee Explains His Version of Events

Speaking from the cell, Vindee said his intentions were to help Martin, describing himself as acting out of compassion rather than involvement in family disputes.

He stated that police officers arrested him for hosting Martin, but emphasized he had no intention of interfering with the family’s ongoing issues.

“Nimeshikwa nikiwa na marafiki zangu walikuwa wameenda kunshoot. Reason ni kuwa good Samaritan kumsaidia Martin, brother ya Gloria Ntazola,” he said in part.

Vindee said he had contacted people to seek his release and was awaiting word on whether he would leave the cell later in the day or the following morning.

He also claimed that Martin was not present at the time of the arrest, adding that Martin had earlier informed him he was heading to visit a friend in town.

The prankster said that once he is released, he plans to distance himself from the situation, noting he had already “washed his hands” of anything that may unfold between Martin and his family.

Stance on Police Involvement

Vindee maintained he did not blame the police for their actions, saying they were acting on instructions.

“Pia makarao sioni kosa lao coz wao wametumwa wanishike,” he explained in the video.

He insisted his intentions were solely to offer temporary assistance and not to interfere in private family matters.
