Following the burial of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo, her widower Hiram Gitau—popularly known as Tash—took their children, Sky and Danny, on a short getaway.
Bayo, remembered for her hit 11th Hour, passed away after a battle with leukaemia and was laid to rest at her home in Mugumo Estate, where only close relatives and friends were present.
During the ceremony, Tash promised to honour her memory and continue caring for the children despite an ongoing custody dispute involving their biological father.
Family Trip to Naivasha
After the funeral, Tash asked the children where they would like to visit to unwind, and Sky expressed a desire to travel to Naivasha.
According to a video shared by family friend Shiro Stuart, Tash, Sky and Danny set off for the mini-vacation in the company of several loved ones.
Although the group appeared cheerful, Sky was captured walking slightly behind the others, seemingly withdrawn as the rest laughed and interacted.
Danny, on the other hand, held Tash’s hand as they strolled. The group later posed for a photo near their hotel’s signboard, smiling and raising their fingers in the air.
Social media users reacted after seeing the video, with some expressing concern about Sky’s mood:
@Essy Kui: “I feel like Sky isn’t happy at all.”
@Marian: “Who else thinks Sky looks bored?”
@Wamaitha: “Pastor Kanyari will probably post a TBT on Facebook next.”
@Queen Yolo: “Sky seems sad. May God strengthen this family.”
TikToker Kawira Faces Backlash
Meanwhile, TikTok creator Kawira has stirred controversy after appearing to express interest in Tash.
What Kawira Said:
Danny had warned Kanyari that Kawira might be attracted to him for financial reasons. However, Kawira later hinted at having feelings for Tash during a TikTok livestream.
While singing Otile Brown’s One Call, she paused to declare that she was single and joked that the message should reach Tash before continuing with the song’s lyrics about being “one call away.”

@Juliana: “How are people even targeting widowers now?”
@Kido: “If Kanyari’s kids didn’t approve, why would Tash?”
@Mel Kim: “Please respect Tash.”
@Miss Vee: “Someone close to her needs to tell her to stop embarrassing herself.”
