Popular content creator and media personality Milly Chebby has responded to a viral video that captured her in a heated confrontation with an unidentified man during the final funeral service for the late gospel singer Betty Bayo.
The incident, which unfolded on 20 November at Ndumberi Stadium in Kiambu County, has drawn widespread attention and speculation across social media platforms.
Video Captures Tense Moment
The brief video clip, which began circulating shortly after the burial ceremony, shows Milly Chebby, the wife of comedian Terence Creative, engaging in a visibly tense exchange with a man dressed in a dark suit and sunglasses.

The confrontation took place close to the podium and the flower-adorned casket.
The man, whose identity remains unknown, is seen gesticulating emphatically towards Chebby. He appears to be speaking aggressively, his body language suggesting agitation.
Chebby is seen standing her ground, responding to the man’s actions. The video’s caption in Swahili asks: “hawa wakuwa wanauizana nini karibu wapigane kwa mazishi ya Betty Bayo” (What were these people arguing about near the casket at Betty Bayo’s funeral service).
How the Confrontation Unfolded
A keen analysis of the footage shows Chebby and the man exchanging words over a matter that seemed to involve seating or access near the front. At one point, the man raises his hand, clearly directing his displeasure at Chebby.
She is seen gently pushing him back from the vicinity of Chebby and the casket area, effectively defusing the immediate tension. The man eventually steps back, and Chebby stares at him in shock.
Milly Chebby’s Response to the Incident
Milly Chebby took to her social media accounts to provide context and address the viral clip, confirming the tension was related to securing space at the service.
In a post, Chebby wrote:
“This man 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ and no we were not getting space for a radio host 💔💔💔 I thank God for Milly Chebby angepata Millicent Chebet someone tag him awambie alikuwa anashoutia nini.”

Chebby’s full name is Millicent Chebet. Her post suggests the confrontation stemmed from a dispute over seating arrangements.
She indicated that the man was shouting at her and expressed gratitude that she maintained composure. She also shared a general message on kindness: “It costs nothing to be kind.”
She also added the text overlay:
“By the way, shouting does not make you right, ongea tu polepole utaskika bado.” (By the way, shouting does not make you right; just speak slowly, you will still be heard.)
