Celebrity dancer and content creator Tileh Pacbro has shared an encouraging update on his hair transplant journey, revealing that his hairline is showing significant growth. Posting on Instagram Stories, Tileh said:
“Going into the fourth month of the hair transplant, I have started seeing the hair is growing. As you can see, the hair on the hairline actually did work and it’s growing. This is the first one since the shaving period, so in the next two months or so we should have a full hairline growing.”
Tileh’s Hair Transplant Journey
Tileh took the decisive step to restore his receding hairline on 19th August 2025. Ahead of the procedure, he shared a photo on Instagram showing himself with his doctor, his scalp already marked for the operation. He expressed a mix of anticipation and optimism:
“I am going with option one, and I am trying to get back this hairline… I want to look good. I have to try other things because of how my head looks. Wish me luck.”
Tileh joins a growing list of Kenyan celebrities who have undergone hair restoration procedures. Socialite Risper Faith had a hair transplant in October 2024 to address hairline loss caused by motherhood, documenting the process from start to finish.
Similarly , businessman Jamal Rohosafi, traveled to Turkey in September 2023 for his second and final hair transplant, spending over Ksh 1 million (approximately USD 7,000) for the procedure and expressing hope that top-ranked surgeons would soon be available in Kenya.
Understanding Hair Transplants
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that moves hair follicles from a donor area—usually the back or sides of the head—to balding or thinning areas.
It is also referred to as “hair restoration” and has gained popularity as an effective way to restore hair growth and boost self-confidence.
There are two primary techniques commonly used in Kenya:
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) – Also known as the strip method, this involves taking strips of scalp with growing hair from the donor area and grafting them into the balding sections.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) – The head is shaved, and individual follicles are removed and transplanted. This method requires more time and skill, making it generally more expensive than FUT.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. New hair growth typically becomes visible within six months, with full results apparent after 12 to 18 months.
Hair Transplant Industry in Kenya
Kenya’s hair transplant sector has expanded in recent years, with several clinics in urban centers like Nairobi offering competitive services.
Prices range from Ksh 100,000 to Ksh 350,000 (approximately USD 1,000–3,500), covering consultation, surgery, and aftercare, though the cost can vary based on factors such as:
Number of grafts required
Type of procedure (FUE vs. FUT)
Surgeon’s experience
Clinic location
Additional services (medication, accommodation, transport)

While Kenya provides accessible options, many affluent clients still travel to Turkey, known as a global hub for hair transplant surgeries due to its experienced surgeons, advanced techniques, and comprehensive packages.
