Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has once again lit up social media after revealing that she’s finally ready to get back into the dating scene — and this time, she’s setting her sights on a Gen Z man.
The mother of two opened up on her Instagram Stories, confessing that she’s been single for too long and that the long dry spell is beginning to take a toll on her.
Vera admitted that even her birthday this year wasn’t as exciting as it used to be, blaming it on the lack of romance in her life.
“I’ve been single for too long, and honestly, I didn’t even enjoy my birthday this year. Maybe it’s time I try something new — a Gen Z guy might just bring back the spark,” she wrote.

Her post instantly went viral, sparking mixed reactions among fans and fellow celebrities. While some applauded her honesty and willingness to explore love again, others found humor in her declaration, suggesting that younger men might not be able to handle her confidence and experience.
Kabugi Slides Into Vera’s DMs
Among those who couldn’t resist responding to Vera’s bold confession was comedian Kabugi. The witty entertainer decided to shoot his shot in classic Kabugi style — with humor and confidence.
Kabugi slid into Vera’s DMs with a playful message that quickly caught attention online:

“Unatafuta Gen Z uniwachie nani? Usitharau wembamba wa reli nani, haiyaae!”
Loosely translated, the comedian was asking Vera not to overlook him, implying that he could be the man she’s looking for despite her Gen Z preference.
Kabugi later hinted at the exchange on his Instagram Stories, posting a cheeky caption: “A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.” Fans flooded his comments, cheering him on and urging Vera to give him a chance.
Vera, clearly entertained, responded with laughter emojis and reposted the message, writing, “These Gen Zs don’t play!”
The lighthearted exchange has since become a trending topic, with social media users debating whether Vera would actually consider dating Kabugi. While the two seem to be keeping things playful, fans agree on one thing — Vera’s dating comeback has brought some much-needed entertainment to the Kenyan online scene.
