Kenyan TikToker Lenzah Ademba, who rose to fame for perfectly mimicking comedian DJ Shiti’s voice and mannerisms, has opened up about her unexpected journey to online stardom.
Speaking on Oga Obinna’s YouTube show on Monday, October 7, 2025, the 20-year-old revealed that her love for comedy began long before she posted her first video.
She said she spent countless hours scrolling through TikTok and Instagram Reels, drawn to funny skits and trending videos.
However, her dream of becoming a content creator was delayed by one major obstacle — she didn’t own a smartphone.
Determined to pursue her passion, she used part of her HELB loan to buy one and officially ventured into content creation.
Her videos quickly went viral, entertaining thousands across social media. The breakthrough moment came when DJ Shiti himself noticed her content, making her the only person he follows on TikTok.
DJ Shiti’s Endorsement Turns Her into a Star
Lenzah’s big moment arrived when she participated in Bien’s open verse challenge for the song All My Enemies Are Suffering. Her humorous rendition, done in DJ Shiti’s unmistakable tone, caught the attention of the comedian.
DJ Shiti shared her video on his Instagram Stories, jokingly introducing her as his “daughter” and captioning, “Bien, what do you say about my daughter?”
In the viral clip, Lenzah sang, “Enemies wanadhani wameingia lakini nawakanda kama unga karibu utadhani mimi ni Munga… enemies wanasuffer,” before playfully urging Bien to send her “between Ksh5,000 and Ksh50,000.”
Humble Roots and a Bright Future
A third-year Public Administration and Leadership student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Lenzah hails from Kabondo Kasipul and is the lastborn in a family of six.

She shared that her admiration for DJ Shiti dates back to his days on Real Househelps of Kawangware, where he mixed music and comedy. Inspired by him, she decided to incorporate similar creativity into her own skits.
Interestingly, Lenzah revealed that her viral “DJ Shiti voice” happened by accident. “I didn’t plan to sound like him,” she said. “But when people in the comments pointed it out, I embraced it — and it became my signature.”
Now, with a growing fan base and the support of DJ Shiti himself, Lenzah continues to make waves as one of Kenya’s fastest-rising digital comedians.
