The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has listed 12 petrol stations selling adulterated fuel to unsuspecting motorists and consumers. EPRA closed several petrol stations for selling adulterated fuel.  EPRA also noted that some stations were dumping export-bound fuel in the local market. How many tests did EPRA conduct? In a notice published in the Daily Nation on Tuesday, September 30, the energy regulator noted that it imposed fines and closed non-compliant petrol stations. “During the period July to September 2025, a total of 6,090 tests were conducted at 1,315 petroleum sites. From the tests, 1,303 (99.09%) of the sites were found to be compliant. However, tests from 12 (0.91%) sites were non-compliant.

Pursuant to Regulation 15 of the Energy (Retail Facility Construction and Licensing) Regulations 2013, the non-compliant stations and their particular offences are listed hereunder,” the notice reads.
