Chelsea Legend John Terry Predicts 2025/26 Premier League Winner

Former Chelsea captain John Terry has shared his reasons for believing Liverpool will win the 2025/26 Premier League title. Arsenal and Liverpool made significant investments in the transfer market.  The Premier League returns this weekend following an eventful international break for World Cup qualifiers. Premier League matchday 4 fixtures Manchester United vs. Manchester City is the standout fixture this weekend, but both teams have had disappointing starts to the season. Liverpool will aim for a fourth consecutive win when they travel to Burnley on Sunday, building on their crucial 1-0 victory over Arsenal, their closest challengers in the last match.

Arsenal will face Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off, a rematch agaisnt former Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou, who recently took charge at City Ground. Chelsea, who are seen as contenders, will battle Brentford. The Blues are second on the table with seven points, two behind Liverpool, who are looking to defend their title. Why is John Terry backing Liverpool to win EPL? John Terry won the Premier League five times with Chelsea and is regarded as one of England’s greatest centre-backs. Terry was asked on Talksport whether Liverpool’s extravagant spending makes them favourites to win the Premier League. “I think it’s theirs to lose, to be honest,” he said. “I think they have a big motivation with the very sad loss of Diogo Jota in the back of their minds as well. I really hope Liverpool do it for that reason alone, I think they’re the strongest side.  Terry said his former club lacks the experience to win the title. “I think Man City have shown vulnerability again this season, I’m not sure Chelsea have enough experience within their squad to push them and also I don’t want to put the pressure on the Chelsea squad.”
