Kenyan actor, scriptwriter, and content creator Abel Mutua, popularly known as Mkurugenzi, has once again left fans in stitches after unveiling his unusual “birthday registry.”
Unlike the glamorous lists often shared by celebrities, Abel’s version read like a mix between a hospital prescription and a retirement plan. The list featured the following:
Birthday Registry
Pension
Electric Wheelchair
Orthopedic shoes (Size 42)
Blood pressure monitor
Pension
Emergency alert device (Panic button/pendant)
Sildenafil tablets
Pension
Trip to physiotherapy or wellness centre
Deep heat spray
Pension
Diaper bag
Simu ya Jamii
Supplements
Pension
To drive home the joke, Mutua cheekily captioned it: “In case you’re wondering what to get me for my birthday. 😜😝”
Fan Reactions
The hilarious list immediately drew hundreds of responses online, with fans blending humour and disbelief:
ogichiri_o: “Hit a like it’s also my birthday. 😂 No 🧢.”
otisshairandbeautypot: “Pension anataka ngapi 😂😂.”
charlesmunyaka: “Hii pension imetajwa sana iko na nini?”
thee._spice: “Mkuruu 😂😂😂🙌.”
meikasi_s: “@abelmutua Happy birthday to you!”
buracega: “Sildenafil 😂😂, deep heat and the rest of supplements can be supplied by @cega_medcare.”
Many could not stop laughing at Abel’s repeated requests for “pension,” while others teased him about including items like sildenafil tablets and deep heat spray.

A Sharp Contrast With Claudia Naisabwa’s Extravagant List
Mutua’s tongue-in-cheek humour landed just days after radio presenter Claudia Naisabwa stirred debate with her bold birthday demands.
The 23-year-old, who has never shied away from speaking about her financial standards, openly declared: “If you don’t have money, don’t talk to me.”
Her birthday list looked more like a billionaire’s shopping spree, including:
A Porsche Cayenne
An iPhone 16 Pro Max
A MacBook Pro M4
Swarovski jewellery
Versace perfume
An Apple Watch Series 10
6-inch designer heels (size 38)
An ALDO Celestica bag
A custom-made gown by Kanazie
A trip to Malaysia
And of course, multiple requests for money
Naisabwa clarified that the wishlist was meant for her invited guests, not the general public, telling critics: “This is my wish list. I know the people I’ve invited to my birthday.”

Whereas Naisabwa’s list reflected youthful luxury and ambition, Mutua’s mock “birthday registry” leaned into satire and wit, poking fun at the realities of ageing and medical needs.
