Kenyan singer Stevo Simple Boy and his partner Brenda have marked a new chapter in their lives with a vibrant gender reveal party, confirming they are expecting a baby boy.
The couple, who announced their pregnancy in June with a romantic photoshoot, brought together friends, entertainers, and fans on Saturday, August 23rd, for the big reveal.
Brenda, glowing in a flowing white gown accented with chain decorations, was escorted in style by Stivo, who arrived in his signature quirky fashion — red trousers, black boots, a mauve coat, striped waistcoat, white shirt, and a bold red beret. Stivo played the perfect gentleman, opening the car door for his heavily pregnant partner as cameras clicked.
The celebration, hosted at a lavish mansion decorated with blue and orange balloons, drew notable guests including comedian and digital creator Oga Obinna, media host Felix Omondi, and other close friends.
At the height of the party, Stevo and Brenda popped a confetti cannon. Blue glitter filled the air, revealing that the couple is set to welcome a baby boy. The guests erupted into cheers as Stevo and Brenda embraced, visibly emotional at the joyous news.
The singer then serenaded Brenda with a brand-new track he had written especially for her, while she held a bouquet of flowers. The romantic moment had guests on their feet, dancing and applauding.
Adding to the excitement, Obinna made a dramatic entrance in a crisp white jacket. Known for his humour and theatrics, he joked about the unusual timing of the event:
“What kind of gender reveal is happening at this hour at night… what is this, sir?”
“A beautiful day it was 🤣❤️. Added another child — my new Godson, Phineas Ochieng Adera, aka Baby Dragon.”
As with any celebrity moment, reactions online were mixed. While many Kenyans congratulated the couple, others cracked jokes about the party. One fan quipped:
“Fans celebrate more than parents.”
The celebration comes amid speculation about Brenda’s pregnancy. In a recent Mic Cheque Podcast interview, Stevo raised eyebrows when he admitted to having doubts about the pregnancy, suggesting he wasn’t entirely convinced.
Despite his earlier reservations, the weekend’s colourful celebration appears to have solidified his joy as he and Brenda prepare to welcome their first child together.
