In a series of candid social media posts, Kenyan beauty and lifestyle entrepreneur Shorn Arwa has offered a compelling perspective on the world of celebrity, fame, and personal privacy.
In her signature no-nonsense style, Arwa shared her views on fellow celebrities who often complain about the pressures of being in the public eye, while she herself appears to embrace the spotlight.

Through her Instagram stories, Arwa voiced her confusion over public figures who claim they do not want to be famous. She stated that while life in the limelight can be tough, it is not the same as not being in the limelight at all.
“When I see celebrities say they wish they weren’t famous, I honestly don’t get it. Yes, being in the limelight is tough, but so is NOT being in the limelight,” she said.
The entrepreneur believes that people who say they were not meant for fame, or who express a dislike for it, are not being entirely genuine with their audience.
A Candid View on Fame and its Critics
Shorn Arwa was unapologetic about her personal ambitions for fame and success. She declared that she is keen to be as famous as possible and that she loves her public life.
For her, any attention, whether positive or negative, contributes to her brand.
“Me? Mimi, make me as famous as I can get! I love it here. When people talk about me, my currency goes up… publicity is publicity.”
The entrepreneur believes that any form of public conversation serves a purpose. She firmly holds the view that all publicity, regardless of its nature, is beneficial to her public persona and career.
The Call to Live a ‘Normal Life’
Arwa did not hold back in her message to those who air their grievances about fame online. She offered a straightforward solution to any celebrity truly tired of life in the spotlight.

She suggested that if one genuinely feels worn out by fame, they should simply delete and deactivate their social media accounts. According to her, this would allow them to get a regular job, and live a normal life away from the pressures they complain about.
“And not to invalidate anyone who says they hate fame but let’s be real: if you’re truly tired of it, just delete and deactivate your socials, get a regular job, and live a normal life.”
She further questioned the sincerity of those who say they hate fame while at the same time continuing to post on their social media accounts every other second.
“How do you say you hate being famous, yet you post every other second?”
Drawing the Line at Her Private Life
While she fully embraces her public persona, Shorn Arwa was quick to draw a clear distinction between her professional life and her private affairs.
She told her followers that she maintains an extremely private personal life with an almost non-existent circle.

She clarified that her closest circle is limited to just herself, her sister, and a single friend she has known for more than two decades.
“When it comes to personal life, I’m extremely private and with an almost non-existent circle… It’s just me my sister and a friend I have known for over 20 years.”
