Mourners attending a burial in Shinyalu, Kakamega County, on Friday, July 18, 2025, were left terrified after the coffin of a deceased man reportedly refused to be lowered into the grave for over two hours, with multiple people claiming it moved on its own.According to witnesses, the ceremony began normally, with prayers and speeches honouring the life of the 54-year-old man who had died after a short illness.
However, when pallbearers attempted to lower the coffin into the prepared grave, it suddenly became unbearably heavy, forcing them to drop it to the ground.“Six strong men could not lift it.
