Police recover 145 stolen cattle in Meru, hand them over to owners

Police officers in Igembe Central Sub-County, Meru County on Sunday July 20, 2025, recovered 145 stolen cattle and handed them to the rightful owners.

In a statement on Monday July 21, 2025, the national police service (NPS) reported that the livestock were stolen on Sunday morning.

Through coordinated efforts, police were able to recover the cattle.

At the same time, NPS noted that police officers have been assigned to track and restore the remaining stolen animals as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, NPS expressed its commitment to protecting life and property, saying it is working tirelessly to combat livestock theft and other criminal activities in the country.
