Kenyan filmmaker Director Trevor has taken to his Instagram Story to lavish praise on renowned Kenyan artist Bien, commending him for his professionalism, generosity, and unwavering commitment to supporting fellow creatives, particularly emerging talents.
The heartfelt post has quickly garnered admiration from fans and content creators across the country, being hailed as a rare display of humility and genuine investment in the arts industry.
According to Director Trevor, Bien personally reached out to him a few months ago, requesting the appearance of popular Gen Z comedian Bradley (also known as Gen Z Goliath) in one of his upcoming music videos.
Despite Trevor’s immediate willingness to collaborate for free, Bien firmly declined the offer and insisted on full professional payment.
This move stood out significantly in an industry where artists and creatives often find themselves working for exposure rather than equitable compensation.

“Bien insisted on paying and referred me to his management,” Trevor wrote in his emotional post. He further detailed how Bien’s team promptly requested a rate card, approved it without any haggling, and even added logistics money to cover expenses for a two-day shoot in Kakamega.
“After full payment, I sent Bradley and his PA for the shoot. You might have seen the clip of Bradley meeting Bien and his mom at their home,” Trevor shared, referring to the now-viral behind-the-scenes footage that captured a warm interaction.
What truly astonished Trevor was the extent of the investment for what ultimately amounted to a brief cameo. “Now the video is out — and I’m amazed that Bien paid all that just for Bradley’s 2-second appearance!” he exclaimed.
Bradley reportedly travelled in an LX570 petrol vehicle—a luxury ride known for its considerable fuel consumption—and all expenses, including accommodation, were fully covered by Bien’s team. “They spent a lot on fuel and accommodation alone,” Trevor noted, underscoring the meticulous level of investment made even for the smallest details within the production.
In a touching conclusion, Director Trevor lauded Bien for setting a powerful example in the Kenyan entertainment industry: “Bien truly invests in his craft. Massive respect, bro — you’ve inspired me deeply.”
