Witty comedienne and social media star Dem Wa Facebook, real name Millicent Ayuwa, has broken her silence following the high-profile engagement and wedding of Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang, a man she once jokingly declared her “crush” in viral skits.
After photos from Chesang’s engagement to Chanelle Kittony flooded social media, many netizens playfully trolled Dem Wa Facebook with memes and cheeky posts referencing her public admiration for the senator.
However, speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the popular content creator quickly set the record straight, dousing any speculation of heartbreak.
“Chesang is my boss and I respect that. Chanelle is also my friend. All that ‘crush’ talk was purely for comedy and content. Nothing serious,” she clarified, handling the online buzz with characteristic humour and grace despite comments like “Someone check on Dem wa Facebook” and “Crushy wake ameoana, ako sawa?” trending for hours.

Senator Allan Chesang Officially Off the Market
Senator Allan Chesang, known for his polished image and growing influence in Kenyan politics, formalised his relationship with Chanelle Kittony in a colourful engagement ceremony held on Saturday, 12th July 2025, in Trans Nzoia.
Chanelle holds a prominent position herself, serving as the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Public Works, Roads, Energy and Infrastructure in Trans Nzoia County.
She also boasts a notable family background as the daughter of prominent businessman Kiprono Kittony (Chairman of Radio Africa Group and Nairobi Securities Exchange, among other ventures) and the granddaughter of veteran politician Zipporah Kittony (former Senator and long-serving chairperson of the Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation, MYWO).

Dressed elegantly in a figure-hugging beige gown, Chanelle looked radiant as she stood beside her fiancé, who sported a stylish brown outfit accented with beige and topped with a matching brown hat.
The event itself followed a sophisticated brown-and-beige theme and was attended by a select gathering of close friends, family, and influential political heavyweights.
Among the high-profile guests gracing the occasion were KANU chairman Gideon Moi, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, flamboyant businessman Wakabura, and several other local leaders.
Family Blessings and a Celebratory Season for the Kittony Clan
During the ceremony, Senator Chesang’s father addressed the guests with evident pride and offered warm reassurances to his new in-laws.
“He’ll take care of your daughter; that one is a true man,” he affirmed. He playfully urged the younger generation to embrace marriage, adding, “Allan, now you’re a grown-up. I got married at 16, and now my kids are abroad, sending me money on weekends. Gen Z, don’t delay marriage!”
He praised Chanelle for her grace and professionalism, calling her a “very good wife” and noting her quiet, diligent character, telling his wife, “Mama Allan, here is your angel. Take good care of her.”

Veteran politician Zipporah Kittony also shared warm words, urging Chesang to treat her granddaughter with utmost care and respect.
“She is very humble, hana maneno. Sitaki kesho uniambie alifanya hii. Lakini akifanya, kuja useme,” she said, blending love and wit in her signature style, reflecting her long public career.
This celebratory season for the Kittony family extends beyond Chanelle’s engagement. It comes just weeks after her younger sister Chantal also got engaged to her Nigerian fiancé, making this a period of double joy for the prominent family.
