Residents of Sinonin village in Lembus Kwen, Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, have raised alarm over the well-being of a man who has reportedly been living under a stone for over three decades. Baringo Residents Seeking Family of Stranger Who’s Been Living Under Rock for 35 Years The man, identified as Richard Kipsang Sitienei, is originally from the Mulot area in Narok County, according to community members. Chris Yang, who spoke to TUKO.co.ke, revealed that efforts to trace Sitienei’s family using the details he provided have been unsuccessful so far.

He is said to have arrived in Sinonin around 35 years ago, and has since lived a life of isolation, with no permanent shelter, opting instead for the shade and cover of a large rock in the area. “We have his identification information, including his name, date of birth, and place of origin, but we’ve hit a dead end in locating any of his relatives,” Yang said. Sitienei, now believed to be in his early 40s, was reportedly born in 1982 and hails from Olala Sub-Location, Mulot Location, Ilmotiok Division in Narok District. His long-term presence in the village has drawn mixed emotions from locals, who describe him as peaceful but withdrawn. “He doesn’t cause trouble and seems to prefer his own company.

But it’s heartbreaking to see someone live like that without family or support,” one resident remarked. The community is now appealing to the public to help trace Sitienei’s relatives in Narok or anywhere else in Kenya.  They hope someone who knows him or his background will come forward and help reunite him with his family. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact local authorities in Eldama Ravine or report to the nearest police station.
