Samidoh Dismisses Resignation Claims Over Arrest Warrant Issued Against Him

Popular Mugithi singer and police officer Samidoh, born Samuel Muchoki, has finally returned to Kenya following speculation that he had fled to the United States to escape an arrest warrant. Samidoh explained that he has no intention to resign from the police service.  Did Samidoh return to Kenya? Shortly after landing, Samidoh was interviewed by content creator Kururuia in a casual setting, where he opened up about his unexpected return and the swirling rumours about his police job. “I had a small emergency and so I decided to make a quick run back here to Kenya. I am a law-abiding citizen. Hakuna mtu nimekosea mimi. This is home and I cannot run away from that,” he said.

He continued: “I have already dealt with the emergency that brought me here and now I want to rush back to the US. I am peaceful and siogopi mtu. I have nothing to fear because there is no mistake that I have made.” Will Samidoh resign from the police service? Samidoh also addressed the warrant of arrest that had been issued against him after he was labelled a deserter by the police service. There had been growing speculation that he would resign from the service, but he made his stance clear. “I am still working and if I am given a chance, I’ll still continue. If things get hard, then it is what it is. I have not and I have never thought about resigning, people are just putting words in my mouth. When the time comes, I’ll just let things work themselves out. I remember running in the heat for over 10 kilometres when we were joining, and that is not something to take lightly,” he said.

Despite the controversy surrounding him, the Toxic Love hitmaker made it clear that he remains unshaken. “I am not intimidated. Hawawezi kutuuzia uoga. We cannot run away from our country, who will we leave it to? I am not shaken,” he said.
