The 25th annual BET Awards, held on June 9, 2025, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California, was a spectacular celebration of Black excellence in music, film, television and sports.
Hosted by actor and comedian Kevin Hart, the evening was packed with electrifying performances, heartfelt tributes and well-deserved accolades.
Beyond the buzz of the winners, the red carpet offered a dazzling display of style, showcasing the unique fashion sensibilities of some of the biggest names in entertainment.
From groundbreaking performances to standout sartorial choices, here’s a look at some of the evening’s most memorable moments and standout styles:

Glorilla
Rapper Glorilla not only delivered an electrifying performance at the BET Awards, but she also bagged the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel or Inspirational Award. This was for the song “Rain Down on Me” by the 25-year-old rapper featuring Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music. The lace-front bustier dress had a softly draped waist and an unbalanced hemline, revealing her striking sandals that wound their way up her legs.

The Jennifer Hudson show host arrived at the event exuding EGOT elegance in a timeless black gown. She complemented her look with prominent shoulders, shimmering black heels, and over $270,000(Sh34.8M) in natural diamonds from Jared Atelier, adding up to 46 carats. This also included an impressive $85,000(Sh10.9M) diamond necklace.

Doechii
Doechii opted for a two-piece Miu Miu outfit for the event. She accessorised with multiple belts, numerous bracelets, and sandals adorned with 3D floral details, which gave a stylish edge to her outfit.

Keke Palmer
For a truly enchanting appearance, Keke Palmer wore a mini-dress inspired by classic ball gowns and complete with embellished sheer fabric. The attire, a genuine Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 1993 creation paired with vintage Chanel and Le Vian rings, came from Lily et Cie.

Letoya Luckett
Singer LeToya Luckett introduced a bold flair to the event, wearing a shimmering dress that appeared to be made of molten metal, featuring high slits on both sides.

Lil Wayne
The “John” hit maker delivered a performance for the history books at the 2025 BET Awards. Tunechi wore a red carpet-meets-skate park attire with a pair of black pants, black sweater, white shirt neatly tucked into the sweater, black tie, a black cap and completed the look with a customised heart-buckle belt and pocket chain.

Kendrick Lamar
The “Not Like Us” hit maker won an award for the Best Album of the Year and his outfit was as unique as his talent. He wore a black suit, a white T-shirt and added a customised baby blue scarf which was on his head.

Kirk Franklin
The veteran gospel musician took home a Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel Award for the song, “Rain Down on Me.” He was donned in a blue two-piece jeans suit by Louis Vuitton.

Ciara
Representing Atlanta, Ciara wore a flowing silk shirt and a skirt adorned with fringe that featured an extensive train, both by Cong Tri, along with an Atlanta Braves cap.

Skai Jackson
The actress Skai Jackson stunned in a corset-style dress featuring a transparent skirt with towering metallic platform shoes. Sterling Forever stud earrings provided a hint of sparkle and glimmer to her majestic outfit.
