Kenyan gospel artist Owen Mwatia, aka Daddy Owen, has shared his perspective on love and marriage.
In an exclusive interview with Buzz central podcast, the songwriter advised people to choose partners wisely for they should marry on purpose and not just love.
He emphasized the importance of finding a partner who shares similar values and goals.
He suggested that a strong foundation built on mutual understanding and shared aspirations can lead to a more fulfilling and lasting relationship.
”I thought marriage was about love, but I think as a man gets married, because for a purpose,” he said.
Daddy Owen believes that while love is important, it should not be the sole factor in choosing a life partner. He suggested that people should focus on their compatibility and the ability to grow together. This ensures that both parties can support each other’s dreams.

The man of God emphasized why prominent and wise people have successful marriages because they find the foundations and a vision for the family.
He advised men to have good leadership skills and to guide the family. ”The same purpose will give you the vision. This will ensure that, when the helper comes, there is already a direction where you are heading.”
Daddy Owen advised men to have a defined theme and not to be bound by the emotional perspective rather than the future of the relationship. ”Men marry lower because if the vision is clear, the woman will abide.”
He pointed out that successful marriages should involve people who are aligned with their vision for the future. This allows them to work together for a common goal.
He encouraged people to seek relationships where both partners are willing to invest in each other’s growth and dreams.
