Easy recipe: Char-grilled lamb chops

This simple yet satisfying char-grilled lamb chop recipe is perfect for a weekend gathering or a special family dinner.

What you will need:

500g lamb chops

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cabbage, shredded

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon of oil

Half a lemon, squeezed

What to do:

Marinate the lamb chops with the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, the squeezed lemon juice and mix well until all the flavours are well distributed. Set aside for about two hours to marinate.

In a frying pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and pan-sear the lamb chops for about two minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Once the lamb chops are half-cooked, transfer them to a charcoal grill and finish cooking until you get the smoked char look and flavour.

You can finish them in the pan if you don’t want to char them.

When ready, serve the lamb chops over the shredded cabbage and enjoy with ugali.
