Residents in several Nairobi estates have been asked to brace for a water supply interruption.
Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Managing Director Nahason Muguna said the interruption is due to ongoing repair works on six pump motors and their electrical control panels at Kabete pumping station.
The pumps at Kabete assist to increase water pressure and move the flow towards Dagoretti and Uthiru reservoirs.
Muguna said the technical team spent the better part of Tuesday repairing the pipeline, adding that the work is currently ongoing.
He said the repair of the motors will be completed later today, May 7, 2025, at 9 pm.
