Social media personality and gospel singer Karangu Muraya has publicly apologised to his estranged wife, Triza Njeri, following months of highly publicised marital drama.
On 27 April, during Triza’s album launch at the Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road, Karangu made a surprise appearance, sparking excitement among supporters who were eager to see how the couple would interact after months of separation.
This marked their first public meeting since Triza announced their separation.
When invited on stage, Karangu seized the moment to seek forgiveness from Triza. Speaking to the audience, he vowed never to speak ill of her again and pledged to support her endeavours moving forward — an issue Triza had previously cited as lacking in their marriage.
“Before I say anything else, I want to first say that I am very sorry,” Karangu said. “I would like you to forgive me because when I went to these in-laws’ home, they welcomed me. If there are issues I will never discuss, even if pushed, it is those concerning Triza. I know where we have come from because I have a brain.”

He urged his friends, Baby Top, Wanja, and Esther, to respect his decision not to discuss matters regarding Triza, stating that their shared history demanded mutual respect.
Karangu also spoke about the emotional toll their separation had taken on their children. “I have been with these kids, and while I will not reveal what they have told me, I know very well what they need,” he said, hinting at the children’s longing for their mother.
He concluded his speech with a heartfelt message: “Triza, I want to let you know that I respect you, I love you, and I wish you success in all your endeavours.”
Several artistes and public figures, including Samidoh, Karen Nyamu, Wanja Asali, and Wanja Nyayari, were in attendance at the event, demonstrating their support for Triza’s musical venture.
Throughout his address, Karangu made it clear that he wished Triza success, stating, “You know that we are not in a competition. I want God to make you shine. And to those who said I could not afford to take Triza to the studio, just know that God’s timing is the best. Triza, you are going to sing a lot; you are going to be rich. May my God be your God.”

In a display of support, Karangu stepped onto the stage with wads of cash, announcing contributions from himself and his friends, including Dama wa Mobile Spares and Governor Susan Kihika. He revealed he personally contributed KSh 200,000, and the total amount raised was KSh 730,000.
The event was further highlighted by a touching family reunion, as Karangu brought along their three children — Emmanuel, Victor, and Esther — who had not seen their mother since she left the family home in Gatundu.
Triza was visibly emotional as she embraced her children warmly. The family moment captured the hearts of those present, with Karangu hugging Triza in a rare show of unity.
The emotional atmosphere deepened as the children were given the opportunity to address the crowd. Emmanuel impressed attendees with his fluent English, expressing his love for his parents and siblings. Victor followed with a heartfelt greeting, and the youngest, Esther, introduced herself shyly as the crowd cheered.
Tears welled up in the eyes of the children during the emotional reunion, momentarily rekindling the happiness the family once shared.
The reunion and Karangu’s public apology have drawn praise from netizens and close friends alike, many expressing hope that the couple can prioritise family and continue working towards reconciliation for the sake of their children.
