FKF-PL: Wounded AFC Leopards seek redemption against Ulinzi Stars

AFC Leopards will be seeking redemption when they face off against Ulinzi Stars in a midweek FKF Premier League match played at Dandora Stadium on Wednesday.

Ingwe are currently on a six-match winless run that has seen the team drop from fourth in the standings to seventh.

In fact, Leopards have lost their last two matches, with their last win coming in mid-February when they narrowly defeated Mara Sugar 2-1.

Since then, Ingwe have drawn four matches against Sofapaka, Gor Mahia and Kenya Police (all 0-0 draws), and Shabana 1-1.

Last weekend, Leopards fell 1-0 to Posta Rangers after having gone down to Kakamega Homeboyz 2-1 the previous weekend.

On the other hand, Ulinzi Stars ended their five-match losing streak last week against Kenya Police when they saw off the Law Enforcers 1-0 and will be seeking to build on that win.

In their last five meetings, Ulinzi have won twice and Leopards thrice, an upper hand Ingwe will hope will propel them to victory despite losing 2-0 when the two teams last met in November last year.

A win for Ulinzi could see the soldiers break into the top 10, and that could also mark their league double over Leopards. Additionally, Ulinzi will move eight points clear above the relegation zone.
