A middle-aged woman and her daughter were killed in a road accident at Sikri Trading Centre on Oyugis-Sondu Road in Rachuonyo South sub-county, Homa-Bay County, on Monday evening when their motorcycle was hit by a trailer.

According to reports, Pamela Ondiek and her daughter died on the scene, while the bodaboda rider suffered serious injuries after their motorcycle was hit.

Rachuonyo South Sub-county police commander Philemon Saera says the driver was arrested while attempting to escape after causing the accident.
