Nyandarua: Kenyans Astonished as Eatery Owner Is Captured on Camera Lacing Soup with Urine

Public health officers have shut down a meat eatery in Gwa-King’u Trading Centre after a woman operating one of the outlets was caught on camera adulterating soup with her urine. The business community is frustrated by the incident. How were traders in Nyandarua affected? Hotel traders in the area are very concerned; word has spread like wildfire that their food is laced with urine, causing them to lose many customers. “We apologise saying that businesses fail the world over and people make mistakes. When you enter the eateries around you realise that no one wants to eat anything from the establishments,” said a businessman.

“As the business community leaders we condemn what happened very strongly. You are the people who support us meat sellers. Tourists also eat our food as they they use this road and buy a lot of packed meat from us,” he added. Why are Nyandarua men refusing wives’ food? Another resident claimed that the matter had even followed them to their homes, and men were buying mekos to cook for themselves. “We want to save our marriages; our men please accept us in our homes although it was a shameful act,” she said. “The matter is with the government and health officials have closed the eatery,” said a business woman.
