Mutahi Ngunyi Cautions Mt Kenya against Abandoning Ruto: “Will Be Elected in 2027 Without You”

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has predicted President William Ruto’s win in the 2027 General Election. In a tweet on Wednesday, November 27, Ngunyi warned Mt Kenya residents against abandoning Ruto’s government for a new coalition ahead of the 2027 poll. According to the political analyst, the popular region will be isolated for many years if they attempt to dump Ruto.

He claimed the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader will win the 2027 presidential election even without the Mt Kenya voting bloc. “Dear Kikuyus: Those who disagree with my truth can sit on a pin. But those who hear what I am saying, you will be isolated for many years to come. And those leading you to rebellion are either foolish or selfish. Ruto will be elected in 2027 without you.

That is my point,” Ngunyi said. His sentiments come amid reports of a possible political deal between former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and the current opposition leaders. Daily Nation established that a series of private meetings have been taking place involving Gachagua, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa.

The figures intend to coalesce to plot against President William Ruto when he seeks re-election in 2027. Kalonzo and his allies are said to be planning to abandon the Azimio La Umoja Coalition Party to enter into a new formation with Gachagua. There was, however, a suggestion to rebrand Azimio to accommodate the interests of new members.
