Gachagua Subtly Responds to Moses Kuria after Murang’a Embarrassment, Thanks Mt Kenya Residents

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has called on President William Ruto to heed the voice of the people. Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and senior economic advisor Moses Kuria at past different church services.

He criticised Members of Parliament for their standing ovation after Ruto cancelled Adani deals following the indictment of Indian billionaire Gautam Adani. “And on this Adani matter, he did not deserve to be praised. He only cancelled the deals after the suspect was indicted in the US.

That was never in his mind,” Gachagua claimed.  Speaking in Murang’a church on Sunday, November 24, Gachagua claimed he had previously warned the president about the controversial deals, echoing concerns shared by many Kenyans. He expressed disappointment that his warnings were ignored, which he believes contributed to his impeachment.

Gachagua stated he was the only leader who could confront Ruto directly, unlike others who, he alleged, bow to the president despite knowing the truth. “Nobody can tell the president the truth. Even in the Cabinet, those secretaries would send me to him with what they didn’t feel was right. They all fear him,” Gachagua asserted, adding that even Deputy President Kithure Kindiki cannot face the president.
