Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel is preparing for a monumental comeback as he rehearses for his upcoming December concert.
A video shared on the TikTok account Omzibiproduction has gone viral, showcasing the “Reject The Bill” hitmaker in action as he readies himself for the highly anticipated Freedom Street 2024 concert in Jamaica.
Set to take place on December 31 at the National Stadium, this event marks Kartel’s first live performance in over a decade.
Tickets for the historic concert, which went on sale on September 7, 2024, are available in two tiers: $150 for standard access and $2,000 for the exclusive center-stage experience, offering fans the ultimate Kartel vibes.
Fans are buzzing with excitement over the energy and electrifying performances expected from the World Boss, but reactions to his rehearsal video have been mixed.
While some fans appreciate his determination, others have expressed skepticism, noting that the legendary artist’s dance moves might not match his classic performances.

A Decade in the Making
Kartel’s return to the stage comes just months after his release from prison in July 2024. The Court of Appeal unanimously ruled that neither he nor his co-accused — Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John — would face a new trial for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Kartel, who was initially sentenced to 35 years in prison following a historic 64-day trial in 2014, has consistently denied his involvement in Williams’ death.
