It is an emotional day as one of the Chuka University students who died in a road accident has been buried. Cynthia Wanjiru Kimani was involved in a grisly road accident outside the school gate a few days ago. She was in the company of her great friend, Felly, who died instantly while she was rushed to the hospital. Who is Kikuyu Constituency MP?
However, despite efforts to keep Wanjiru alive after the gruesome accident, she succumbed to the injuries. “Today, we laid to rest Cynthia Wanjiru Kimani, a young lady whose life held so much promise. Cynthia was a student at Chuka University and one of the many determined young Kenyans from underprivileged backgrounds whom I had the honour of supporting through school.
Tragically, she met her untimely death in a fatal accident while leaving school for her hostel,” Member of Parliament for Kikuyu Constituency Anthony Kimani Ichung’wah shared. What were Kimani Ichung’wah’s memories of Wanjiru? He was among the guests present at Wanjiru’s burial as he showed up to stand with the grieving family and comrades of the young girl. The politician rolled back the curtains of memories as he vividly recalled the first time he met Wanjiru while sharing his moving tribute.
“I first met Cynthia during the Kiambaa by-election when she was in Form 2 at Ngararia Girls High School. Despite facing financial struggles, her determination to complete her education shone through. Her quest moved me for education, cleared her fee arrears and committed to supporting her education journey. It is such a tragic loss to lose such a young soul. May she Rest in peace,” he said.
