A family in Matiru village, Tigania West, is in grief and seeking justice after their daughter was allegedly murdered under mysterious circumstances. Doris Kabirithu’s lifeless body was found miles away from their home. Doris Kabirithu reportedly left the house to answer a phone call from an unidentified caller, never to be seen alive again.
Speaking to the media, Doris’s sister, Ruth Kabirithu, recounted the last moments they saw her alive, explaining how casually she had left without hinting at any danger. “She just left like that when she received a call while we were sitting there at home. She picked up the phone, and I thought she had just stepped outside to talk,” Ruth recalled. However, as time passed, the 22-year-old girl did not return, leaving her family distressed and in anguish.
Where was Doris’s body found Ruth explained that their mother eventually approached her, inquiring about Doris’s whereabouts. She then realised that her sister’s departure was unusual and that no one had thought that she would be gone for so long. “After a while, my mother came and asked me where he was. I told her she had received a call and left. She asked me where he went, and I told her she hadn’t told me,” said Ruth.
Days turned into weeks without word from Doris, and the family’s hopes of her safe return dimmed. Their worst fears were confirmed when her lifeless body was found dumped in a secluded thicket in Isiolo county. The family suspects foul play and is calling on authorities to investigate Doris’s mysterious death and bring those responsible to justice.
