OmniCare Medical Clinic has been shut down following public uproar over the death of Lucy Ng’ang’a due to a botched medical procedure.
The issue was first raised by businesswoman Amira, who had criticized the clinic and its medical team.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko also voiced his anger, calling for justice. A closure notice by KMPDU was issued on October 31, 2024, citing a violation of the provisions of CAP 253.
Others who have spoken out include Betty Kyallo, who condemned the facility, saying, “Rest in peace, Lucy. You didn’t deserve to die in so much pain and grief that those people put you through.”
The medical facility also released a statement. It is below:
