Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has earned the admiration of Kenyans after showcasing the homes he built for his family. Peter Salasya uplifted his siblings by building houses for them. How did Peter Salasya help family? A TikTok video depicted the legislator showing around the expansive homestead. “Whose house is this?” asked a man. Salasya reposed that he had built the house for his brother. The permanent, multimillion bungalow had a dark grey roof and lighter paint on the walls. It was nearing completion. Further away was another house Salasya said he was building for his other brother.
Salasya further shared plans for his compound, including putting cabro paving blocks. The video also showed a cow pen he was building. “I want to own 20 cows,” he said. Many Kenyans lauded the MP for uplifting the lives of his family, but others wondered where he had gotten the money from. Simon simshalu: “EACC should investigate him. How many months and how much salary? He may end up poor after 2027 if not re-elected.” Brown skin: “Where did he get his money from?”

Salasya previousky said that he took home a paltry KSh 2,364 out of his hefty KSh 1.2 million pay for the month of June. The lawmaker exhibited his payslip while suggesting in jest he was struggling financially. According to Salasya, due to how pathetic their payslips looked, his colleagues in the National Assembly voted for the Finance Bill 2024, hoping for handouts from the government.
