Ex-Inooro presenter Kihara Wa Gathua succumbs to cancer in Nairobi 

The media fraternity is mourning the death of a veteran radio presenter, Martin Kihara Wa Gathua. Ex-Inooro presenter Kihara Wa Gathua succumbs to cancer in Nairobi. What killed Kihara wa Gathua? The veteran media personality succumbed to cancer at KU Referral Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.  Kihara W Gathua, popularly known as Mzee wa Kazi, previously worked at Inooro FM, Kayu FM and Uganjo FM. The family of the media personality, who unsuccessfully vied for the Kieni constituency parliamentary seat in 2022, had asked Kenyans for help to clear his hospital bill a few hours before he died. The presenter’s death comes barely a year after he lost his mother. Kenyans mourn Kihara wa Gathua Wa Nyawi said: “My most sincere condolences to the Gathuas especially Lucy Gathua It’s hard to lose a mom and before the pain sinks you lose the father figure in the eldest brother. “

 Governor wa Mbeu Njithi said: “RIP. Legend kihara wa Gathua. No man can change the direction of wind or the will of God. Wanjiku Wa Francis…take heart Lord is together with you and has a reason for all this. RIP LEGEND.” Baruthi wa Thayu wrote: “What a black Sunday morning! he golden news voice is no more. Mzee Wa Kazi -Kihara Wa Gathua may your soul rest in peace.” Ephraim Antony Mugo said: “A close close friend and confidant has rested. You’ve realy fought a big fight but God had your plans. See you across the river Kihara wa Gathua.” Prince said: “💔💔💔💔Oooh no! Rest in power Mzee wa Kazi.” Jey-lad Cfc Gerald said: “Rest in Peace Kihara Gathua. A great news anchor of our time, go well bro 😭😭😭😭. ” Ndungata ya Ngai Mutui wa Muiru wrote: “So Sad. R.I.P Legendary Kikuyu Newscaster Kìhara Wa Gathua. 

Condolences to family and friends. Huruka uhoro Kìhara Wa Gathua..” Kary wa Kamwithi wrote: “It’s a Dark Sunday🖤.Cancer has taken the life of My former Boss at Iganjo FM Kihara wa Gathua.😭😭. Rest In Peace.” Kihara wa Gathua’s siblings mourn him The media personalities’ brothers and sisters admitted his death was a big blow to them just months after burying their mother. They paid glowing tributes to him and his sister, Wanjiku Francis, shared TBT photos of her and her brother reminiscing their sweet old days, accompanied by a heartbreaking message. Museveni Mugathua Bahati paid a glowing tribute to his brother, describing him as his best friend. Mugathua also revealed he walked his brother through the cancer journey, sharing that he was pained by his demise. Another sibling, John Gathua, pampered the fallen journalist with praises for bringing a great change in the vernacular media industry.
