TUKO.co.ke, reached out to Clay and he shared some of his communication with Safaricom. The company alluded to the fact that most of the transactions must have been done on TikTok.
“This suggests that your GlobalPay details had to be input on their website in order for a payment to have gone through. “We kindly request you to contact TikTok via their website and follow their refund request policy to ask that they cancel/ refund the transactions. Once they consent to the request, they will instruct VISA PLC, who will in turn send the funds back to us, with instructions to return the amount to your M-Pesa account,” read the response from Safaricom. The company offered to help Clay follow up with the matter in case TikTok failed to help him at all. TUKO.co.ke also contacted Safaricom seeking to know if any of the allegations were true and the company said it could not reveal information about a client’s transaction and that he should contact them.
“Hello, it’s regrettable to hear that. However, we do not share customer information with third parties.
