Eric Kiprotich, popular as “Supuu 177,” gifted Pastor Agnes Kiptoo of Kabimoi Redeemed Gospel Church a brand-new Nissan X-Trail. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Kiprotich detailed the chain of events that led to the thoughtful gift. He disclosed that it all began in 2022 when she invited him to a fundraiser organized to help the church acquire land. “We raised over KSh 1.2 million, which was used to cover the cost,” he started.
Later, Kiprotich was invited to the pastor’s home, where he was shocked to see the dire living conditions. Moved by the situation, he offered further assistance by building them a fully-furnished two-bedroom house. He also gave them shopping and bought new outfits for the entire family to start over a new leaf. Despite the struggles, Pst Agnes remained dedicated to her ministry, often arriving at church early with her husband, on a motorbike. “It pained my heart to see her coming on a motorbike, while I drove to church in a VX. This is the same person who prays for me,” Kiprotich said.
A recent incident where the pastor’s husband was involved in a motorbike accident, resulting in his phone being broken, further fueled Kiprotich’s resolve. Alongside his sons, Brian and Roy, they decided to surprise Pst Agnes with a new car during their visit. “Only me and my sons knew about the surprise,” he added, recalling the emotional moment when they handed over the keys to the Nissan X-Trail. Tears flowed as Pst Agnes and the entire congregation celebrated the life-changing gift.
