Youtuber Oga Obinna has acknowledged concerns by netizens over the way he allegedly treats guests on his live tv show.
There have been several comments online with netizens concerned about his indifferenceduring his interviews.
The comments were addressed by Obinna on Thursday night during the launch of Nadia Mukamis’ album.
Speaking to Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi on the sidelines, the media personality rejected the claims.
“It is fine” he began.
You didn’t know how I built the platform. You don’t know the vision I have for it. So you might not know what I’m trying to do. There are people who don’t know that I’m a comedian. Before any other thing, I’m a comedian. If you look at Obinna show live, I do jokes” He corrected the allegations.
Obinna told Mpasho that he believes he is not biased
“Sometimes when I have people who have been ..are abled differently Llet me put it tjis way, as a guest, I always ask them when they come, like yoh how do you take jokes? Are you a good sport? before I test. Because you might crack a joke and somebody takes it personally! I’m like yoh it was just a joke.
He continued to defend his style of interviewing guests
“So we have people sometimes when you interview guys them, they are looking for just that thing, I’ve done a million and one amazing interviews, but I’ve heard them say I’m looking down on this person. Like the one for Stevo Simple Boy. Stevo is my boy. We are creating something amazing with him, I’m guiding him on creating content, so that he can cash in on this other side” he assured.
In conclusion he added
“I wouldn’t look down on anybody. The people associated with me personally know, ukuwe ni waiter, makanga or chokosh, ”
