Government implements robust measures to prevent spread of Mpox virus

Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, has emphasized that  government has implemented robust measures to prevent the spread of Mpox virus and ensure public safety.

Speaking during her visit to the Malaba one-stop border post in Busia County, CS Muthoni reassured the public that there is no cause for alarm over Mpox outbreak in the country.

She also highlighted that border facilities across the country are fully equipped and prepared to handle any potential cases, thanks to strengthened surveillance and readiness protocols.
