Safaricom announces system maintenance, key services will be unavailable

Telecommunications service provider Safaricom has announced scheduled system maintenance for Sunday from 11 pm to 4 am on Monday.

In a statement, Safaricom said access to key services during the maintenance will be unavailable.

The affected services include Lipa na M-PESA, Paybill and Buy Goods services.

Safaricom said access to international money transfers (Western Union), M-PESA Global, as well as M-PESA App and my Safaricom App will be intermittent.

“To meet our promise to always offer worry-free superior customer experiences, we will be conducting a scheduled system maintenance on the night of Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 11 pm to 4 am on Monday, July 15, 2024,” Safaricom said.

The company, however, noted that all other services including calls, data, SMS and all other M-PESA services will be available as usual.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your  understanding as we strive to provide you with best-in-class services.”
