7 Killed, 25 Injured in Early Morning Crash as Bus Overturns

 

A grisly road accident 
 

Seven people have lost their lives in a tragic accident involving a double-decker bus and a car on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Usrahar in Uttar Pradesh.  The accident happened in Usrahar.According to Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar, the bus, which had a Nagaland license plate and was en route from Rae Bareli to Delhi with around 60 passengers, collided with a car that was travelling in the wrong lane at approximately 12.30am on Sunday, August 4. What caused Agra-Lucknow Highway accident? The SP explained that the car, coming from Lucknow and heading towards Agra, was driven by an individual who likely fell asleep at the wheel and veered into the wrong lane.  The impact of the collision caused the bus to overturn and fall into a roadside ditch. “A double-decker bus going from Raebareli to Delhi collided with a car at around 12.30am.


There were 60 people on the bus, out of which four people died and about 20-25 people were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital. Three people who were there in the car also died. A total of 7 people have died,” SSP Etawah Sanjay Kumar Verma confirmed. The injured, including one in critical condition, have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police reports.
