On Tuesday, an uneasy calm prevailed in Nairobi, with businesses closed and roads nearly empty ahead of the planned protests.

The Central Business District (CBD) experienced slow activity as police maintained a vigilant presence.

A spot check by Mpasho revealed that some roads were closed, with police setting up roadblocks near key sites like the State House, Parliament, and the Supreme Court.

All roads leading to the State House were cordoned off, guarded by heavily armed police officers.
