Kasarani: Woman who Died after Falling off 10th Floor Apartment Met Man at Night Club, Details Show

 

New information has emerged regarding the lady who died after falling from the 10th floor of an apartment in the Kasarani area. White House apartment in Thome, where the body of a was found.  On the morning of Saturday, March 2, the lifeless body of a lady aged 19 was discovered past 3.00am after she fell from an apartment in Thome estate.  How Joan Nzomo fell from the 10th floor Preliminary investigations by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations indicate the victim was Joan Nzomo.  After secure CCTV footage, detectives discovered that Joan and the man now identified as Lawrence Gitonga, met at an entertainment joint on the fateful night. Joan, who was wearing only a red t-shirt, met Lawrence in one of the entertainment joints along Mirema Drive in Roysambu on the night of Friday, March 1. After partying for hours, they left the club in the company of another friend whom they dropped off before heading to the short-to-stay apartment that they had booked. Homicide detectives are now trying to establish what transpired in the room after the duo check-in. After securing the scene, detectives stumbled upon a bloody scene with blood-stained bedsheets and blood splattered on the walls and floor.  Gitonga was found unconscious with 8 stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital, where is currently receiving treatment. How Rita Waeni died in Kasarani Police probe revealed that Rita, then a JKUAT fourth-year student, met the killer on Instagram. The man shunned phone calls and opted to communicate with her using the social media platform, perhaps to avoid being traced. In his autopsy findings, government chief pathologist Johansen Oduor revealed that Rita was strangled and suffocated to death before her body was dismembered. The head base was bruised by a blunt object, according to Oduor, who added that some of the bones were fractured.
