Daddy Owen Clarifies He’s Not Dating Charlene Ruto: “We’re Just Friends”

 

Renowned musician Daddy Owen has addressed the rumours about his relationship with Charlene Ruto, daughter of President William Ruto. Singer Daddy Owen says he’s not in romantic affair with First Daughter Charlene Ruto.  The two have been at the centre of speculation since December 2023, when Owen was spotted with Charlene at his home in Eshieywe, Kakamega County. Daddy Owen and Charlene’s connection In an interview with Radio Maisha, Owen set the record straight. Contrary to the dating rumours, he emphasised that their connection is platonic. Charlene, he explained, is a supportive friend who has been there for him during various endeavours. “This is something I’ve discussed in the media. People are quick to fabricate stories, but the truth is straightforward. I’ve never publicly declared that Charlene and I are romantically involved. We’re just friends,” he said. Owen went on to highlight their mutual support for each other’s projects. “Charlene has been an incredible friend in my projects. Likewise, I’ve supported her initiatives. There is nothing beyond that,” he clarified. Charlene asks Benny Hinn for prayers to get husband A few days ago, Charlene made headlines after she asked for prayers to get a husband during Benny Hinn’s crusade. The beauty was among the thousands who attended Benny Hinn’s mega crusade at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, February 25. When the man of God asked the faithful at the podium if they wanted prayers about something, Charlene stood up and boldly stepped forward, leaving the crowd cheering. The preacher prayed for her, and she fell during the anointing. She stayed on the ground for a few minutes before standing up. Benny Hinn then asked Charlene if she had special prayer requests, and she whispered in his ears. A few moments later, the preacher asked everyone to lift their hands towards Charlene and prayed for her to get a husband.
