In a devastating Monday, January 29, incident, the man identified as Job Osogo Otieno was accused of fatally assaulting his wife, Brigid Amondi Ochieng, after a series of domestic feuds. According to a police report, Osogo tried to conceal the criminal offence by wrapping the body of the 35-year-old teacher at Obwolo Secondary School with a mat before concerned residents checked in. As reported by Citizen Digital, an enraged mob subjected the suspect to severe beatings, prompting his urgent transfer to Nyabondo Mission Hospital. However, his condition deteriorated, and he was then transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (formerly Russia) at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he succumbed to the injuries on Tuesday afternoon. The bodies of the deceased couple are currently held at the same facility, awaiting an autopsy. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the alleged murder of the woman.
