Brian Mwale, a seasoned journalist who recently bid farewell to his 11-year stint at the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), has been fired from his new job. Journalist Who Resigned from Media Position Terminated in New Job Hours Before Reporting Mwale had secured a new role at the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), but it ended abruptly before he even started. Before exiting, Mwale, who served as an Assistant Assignments Editor for TV1 at ZNBC, expressed his gratitude towards the organization.  The journalist thanked the media house for providing him with the platform to grow and explore the world of reporting. He reminisced about his experiences and the supportive environment that allowed him to pursue higher education, including an impending MBA. Mwale disclosed that his departure from ZNBC had been prompted by a job offer as the Corporate Affairs Manager at ZEMA. However, Mwebantu reports that the new Director-General terminated his contract with ZEMA before reporting on February 1. “No health scheme, which my ailing parents used more, and now completely no income. This is pure witchcraft,” he lamented. While the reasons behind Mwale’s termination remain unknown, he alleges that political interference may have played a role. The distraught media personality believes a former colleague influenced the termination by linking him to politics. Mwale insists on his apolitical stance and expressed his frustration at the situation. He shared his disgust for those in the habit of fighting others because they don’t want to see them succeed, adding that fate will give them what they deserve. “Making innocent people shed tears because of your bad-mouthing basically means you are attracting bad omens and generational curses,” he continued. He maintained that he harbours no ill feelings for those behind his termination because he refuses to be trapped in hatred.
