Nairobi: Homeless Woman Living Under Bridge Gifted Goodies, KSh 17k after Giving Birth

 

The young lady, identified as Wangare, who embarked on the journey of motherhood, lived under the bridge. She was found by another woman who connected her to a good Samaritan called Derrick Mbugua, who followed up on her story. "That girl who was sleeping under the bridge has given birth today. Any support is appreciated," read a Facebook post.  Kenyans were moved with compassion as some sent finances to Mbugua to help the young mum and her newborn. Granny gifted KSh 17,000 in hospital In a video, Mbugua and other well-wishers visited Wangare and her mum in the hospital with goodies. He gave Wangare's mother KSh 17,000 with bags of shopping courtesy of Kenyans, who stood with the desperate family. Wangare's mum bubbled with joy and gratitude as she expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the great help. She could not keep calm as she uttered words of blessing to Kenyans who offered a helping hand to the family. New mum's first words after delivery Wangare was also not left behind, as she was thankful to the well-wishers who spared some financial and material resources for her and the newborn. "We have come with shopping for you (Wangare) and your baby, thanks to the kind Kenyans. Now the baby is cared for with diapers and all you will need," Mbugua said. Wangare's mum said a prayer at the end of the video, blessing the pockets of well-wishers that they would never lack and be successful in their endeavours. Kenyans contribute towards single mum's plight In another story, Kenyans contributed KSh 42,000 towards a mum and her kids who spent a night outside due to KSh 6,000 rent. Catherine Muthoni was grateful to kind Kenyans who were touched by her story after she and her kids spent a night outside because of rent arrears. Kenyans contributed over KSh 40,000 to the single mother, who moved to a cheaper house and paid a four-month rent. The Nairobi mum of two expressed her joy in a heartwarming video as she appreciated Kenyans' generosity.
