Distinctive behaviors between Kenya & most Western countries
Many Kenyans desire and wish to travel abroad or even get a chance to live there.
Kenyans who live in these diaspora countries confess that life there is far from what is shown in their movies or how they fantasize about it.
They claim that it is much harder than they thought - with some wishing that they could relocate back to Kenya or their country of origin.
Here are some things that are different from Kenya that will shock you when you relocate to Western countries;
1. If you are a middle-class person in Kenya and you decide to relocate, you need to work harder in order to make ends meet.
That is why you find many people have multiple jobs just in a day to keep the balance.
2. In many Western Countries people openly talk about boundaries, if you don't like something you say it confidently.
Unlike Kenya where you have to pick your statements wisely to avoid offending those you are addressing.
3. In countries like America, people have normalized BBLs and they always assume that any lady blessed with big behinds got them fixed by a doctor.
Back home conversations around BBLs are still topics that are not openly discussed.
4. In Kenya, for Sh400 you can purchase different types of fruit that are of quality and in quantity while abroad for that amount of money you can only get two fruits.
Things are expensive, especially organic food.
5. In Kenya, public transport operates 24/7 as opposed to most Western countries where those using public transport have specific times and locations for boarding those cars.
For you to board a bus you have to be at the bus station at the scheduled time.
6. In Kenya the legal age is 18 years - one can now be allowed to make their own decisions but in some Western countries, the legal age is 16 years- at 16 you can drink, drive, or even own a car. BY MPASHO NEWS
