President William Ruto is today expected to return to the Gusii region to commission development projects in Nyamira County.

The President is scheduled to launch the Sironga affordable housing in West Mugirango constituency and a key road in North Mugirango that connects the county with Homa Bay.

The Head of State will also cross over to commission the construction of a stalled market in Borabu constituency.

During the tour, President Ruto is expected to hold various roadside rallies and comment on issues of national interest including the rising cost of living and bipartisan talks with the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition.

He will be hosted by MPs Steve Mogaka (West Mugurango), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango) and Patric Osero of Borabu.

Ruto returns to Nyamira five months after another tour of the region in March.

Last weekend he was in the neighbouring Kisii County, where he attended an interdenominational church service at Nyanturago Stadium.   BY PEOPLE’S DAILY
