Raila recently disclosed that he learned of the death of 18-year-old Brian Mwendwa through his friend from Makueni, identified as John Kiema, and he wanted to help lessen the family’s pain. Makueni woman confirms construction of house In a Twitter post, ODM communication director Philip Etale shared a glimpse into the house whose construction is already taking shape.  TUKO.co.ke contacted Miriam Mbithe, the mother of the 18-year-old deceased boy, who confirmed that the house is being built for her. “It has two rooms, a sitting room and a bathroom. My family and I will move in after the completion is done. It is just in the finishing stages,” she told TUKO.co.ke. “It is true we are getting a house constructed for us,” she added. How did Raila learn of Makueni boy’s death On Wednesday, August 16, Raila disclosed that after he learnt about the death of the 18-year-old, he wanted to help the family. According to Raila, the deceased’s friend told him about the background of Mwendwa’s mother, fuelling his desire to lift the family from its state of adversity. He bought land for the family and started the construction of the house.  “We have come to mourn a young man. John Kiema called and told me that a young boy had been shot and killed by police. He told me about Brian; he told me how Brian’s mum lost land in Wote after her husband’s demise and later wrangled with her in-laws. She came to Emali,” Raila said.  BY TUKO NEWS
