Raila needs to grow up, Ahmednasir says ahead of Saba Saba rally
City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi now say that Azimio leader Raila Odinga still needs to grow up.
He said Raila who is currently 78 years old cannot continue using the same tactics in fighting the government for 45 years.
This was in reference to the first time the Saba Saba protests were held, to show open defiance to the government.
Ahmednasir said the tactic that was recently called by Raila has always failed.
"Hon Raila, even at 78 years, needs to grow up! He can't be throwing stones for 45 years, inhaling teargas year after year, clash with policemen who are the grandchildren of officers he had run-ins in the 1980s and continue following the same failed/discredited political script/manual," he said.
Ahmednasir's remarks come ahead of Friday's Kamukunji rally dubbed Saba Saba by the opposition.
According to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, during the rally, a signature collection to show dissatisfaction with President William Ruto's administration will be launched.
It is also expected to be the launch of the second wave of Opposition protests across the country.
On Tuesday, Raila announced that other rallies of a similar nature as the Kamukunji one will be held in other parts of the country.
The rallies will be led by top Azimio leaders in different towns across the country to launch what they have termed the Third Liberation.
In the plan, Azimio leader Raila Odinga will lead a mega rally in Nairobi's historic Kamukunji grounds, while Kalonzo Musyoka will lead another in Machakos County.
Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, DAP's Eugene Wamalwa and other leaders will spearhead other meetings. BY THE STAR
